I’m looking for the name of this horror movie I rented on DVD around 2011, I believe the title consisted of two words, it might have been “Name Surname” (like “Ed Gein”), but I’m not sure at all.
The killer, a big guy with long and messy hear and who’s wearing dirty denim overalls, is finally killed and buried at a certain point in the movie, only to dig his way out of the grave some time later, and to continue his killing spree.
The movie has a very, very disturbing scene, so if you’ve seen it, I’m sure you’ll remember:
The maniac has tied up an elderly woman in her kitchen, she’s sitting on a chair and behind her are windows and daylight is shining through, so can see her silhouette very clearly (right side of the screen). The scene takes a long time: the killer relaxes for a while in a sofa in the living room (left side of the screen). Then he gets up and starts walking around the lady. She’s talking, asking him not to do whatever he’s planning. He doesn’t answer, as he never talks. He has a small hammer. It seems like he’s deciding where to start. He hits her for the first time, gently. She’s crying, pleading him to stop. He hits her again, on the other side of her head, and a little harder. He hits her in a different spot every time. This goes on and on and on, until you notice that she has stopped crying. In the end, nothing is left but a small part of her spine above her torso, where her neck used to be.
I should never have watched that. If you could help me with the title, maybe I will be able to stop thinking about it…
I know you must have already considered this movie, but how — oh how?! — could you omit Exorcist 2: The Heretic ?? Clearly much more weird than most movies you do include, also a big “mainstream” movie by a major director (as weird as Zardoz and not boring like other weird Boorman movies like Leo the Last and Where the Heart Is, which you also don’t include ) and mostly reviled though it has its fans, including the director of Taxi Driver. It should’ve been on this list from the get-go. Like leaving Citizen Kane off a list of “Greatest Newspaper Films”.
Even the honorable mentions doesn’t mention it (though it HAS to make the list.) I don’t understand. It’s very famous for a weird movie bomb. This is too weird.
And you are missing a plethora of Japanese films made in the 60s , 70s and 80s, some by major filmmakers like Ichikawa, Imamura, even Kurosawa — titles escape me…
I think this website needs fixing. I cannot find some recent posts and the background keeps changing. Lol
We changed servers and a small amount of posts/comments were lost. Anything posted after Sep 7. may be lost. Please repost if your submission was lost. Apologies.
Expect new post (and sometimes comment) approval to be slower than usual for the next ten days, until April 2. I am on a project and may be able to access the site only once or twice per day. Thanks for your patience.
Many/most of the posts and comments that were recently lost have been restored. As I suspected, posts made yesterday afternoon after the announcement of the issue had to be overwritten to restore the site. My apologies. If you notice anything else awry let us know. Back to business as usual!
I saw this movie between 2008-2012 (Can’t really remember).
The lead actress plays a violin (I think) and either gets aroused when playing the violin or plays better after having sex. She went for an audition and I can’t remember whether she had a relationship with one of the professors. Also the audition or casting school was either in france or she moved to france. Thanks.
UPDATE 3 (8/26/2015): Everything seems to be back to normal, please tell me if you find any additional bugs. Sorry for the partial downtime.
Hello, commenting seems to be temporarily broken since the latest WordPress update. I am very sorry for the interruption and I’ll try to see what can be done. Stay tuned!
UPDATE: Seems to be fixed now. However, the ability to make new posts is gone. It will be several hours from now (10 PM U.S. EST) until I am able to spend time re-installing WordPress.
UPDATE 2 (8/21/2015): It’s going to be awhile. Re-installation did not fix the problem. The site may stay unusable for the weekend (you can still comment).
Also, my antispam program has been broken in the update, so you may see a lot of spam; I have to manually remove it every now and then. Sorry! Hope I’ll have time to work on this over the weekend.
You probably wouldn’t notice if I didn’t tell you, but… I’m off on a long weekend trip. Don’t be surprised if the site is slow to update. I will try to check in at least once per day. Things should return to normal next Tuesday.
Was in the 80’s, Danko’s band kidnaps a cop and asks his brother to kill the president. Danko goes to their house and murders their father. At the end the 2 brothers fight Danko in a storage area for small airplanes. Danko has great skills but they are able to beat him.
10/15/2014, 1:46 PM EST: We are currently in the process of moving to a new server; the site is available but in “read-only” mode for now. We apologize for the inconvenience and will update you when the move is completed.
UPDATE 10/15/2014, 2:55 EST: Everything seems to be working correctly now. If you discover any bugs please inform us of them here or on Endless Chat. (If we haven’t marked a movie solved or credited you with a solve, that’s not a bug–we’re just behind!)
A boy finds a girl attractive (both of them in their post teen approx.). And she happen to be from a wealthy family. Some one in her family gets killed in a car accident. The boys get to be blamed. There is a sex scene at her house (when dad is out). Later the boy finds out that it was the girl all along who was killing her own family. And she tries to put the blame on her boy friend. She some way learn to tamper with the car brakes or the engine(in process of killing her own father). This is some movie which i have seen long back. Couldn’t remember the tittle or the actress in his film. If any of you could recognize. Please let me know. All I know is, this is not a recent one, at-least way before 2000’s.
