Hand mutilation scene

Here’s another one I can’t seem to find. It’s from a while back, so I would say early 90’s or later.

One scene depicts a woman in a kitchen chopping vegetables. One of two things happens:

  1. She’s distracted by something and isn’t paying attention and manages to cut part of her fingers off.
  2. Something is possessing her and she keeps chopping into her hand, seemingly without pain.

I’m fairly sure that throughout the movie there’s a bird of some kind, like a crow or raven, that’s present when these “accidents” occur.

Martial arts movie with biker gang

After watching ‘Rumble in the Bronx’ last night (in the hopes that it was the one I was trying to remember), I’m stumped.

The only scene I can remember is the protagonist running from a group of bikers into a skate park/subway/construction site. Two bikers chase him up a wall, where he clings to a chain-link fence.

I realize this isn’t much to go on, but I’ve already skimmed through all of Jackie Chan’s relevant movies and haven’t found it yet. It’s possible it could be a Jet Lee movie, but I felt like the movie as a whole had a more comic feel to it that is common of Jackie Chan’s movies.

Retired B-movie actor trains man to fight real monster

This movie had a very ‘Sci-Fi’ vibe to it, so at the very least, it was probably made-for-TV.

The only bit I can remember is an old man, who I think used to be a B-movie actor. Most of the films he did involved him fighting a certain beast/creature/alien.

For some reason, the fictional ‘thing’ he fought in these movies turns out to be real, so he tries to prepare this young man (the protagonist) to fight it.

Unfortunately, that’s all I can remember.

Low budget film about young man whose life spirals downward

I rented this from a Blockbuster back in late-2008/early-2009, so I know it can’t be anything released since then.

What I can remember:

The story follows a young man (early 20’s maybe) who (I think) gets involved with drugs.

He has a friend that either he lives with or visits often that, at one point, dies (possibly from an overdose).

Near the end, he goes to see a girl he used to date at her wedding. He visits her before the ceremony (she’s still getting ready) in a room, alone. He does something to prevent her from leaving the room (he has a gun/knife, locks the door, etc.).

The movie ends rather oddly, from what I can remember. I think he’s walking on the side of a road (closed road maybe?) and he stops near a fence.

I got the distinct impression while watching this movie that it had a low (or nonexistent) budget. It had a very ‘Clerks’ vibe to it, in that all the locations seemed to be local.
