I remember this movie (color, in English, made within the last 10 years), in which a young man stays with an older married couple at their sea-side home. The young man and the wife begin an affair – because the young man reminds the wife of her dead son. (The houseguest is basically a doppelgänger of the deceased.) Some decently big stars in the film, if I’m not mistaken. I think the wife was a blonde. Help, thanks!
This really sounds like “Birth”, with Nicole Kidman, though the boy reminded her of her dead husband and they lived in an apartment building, not on the seaside. The final couple shots of the movie are of Nicole crying on the beach, however. Trailer:
A similar but pretty different movie is “Womb” with Eva Green, which IS set entirely at the seaside, but where a woman gives birth to a clone of her dead boyfriend and raises him until he’s old enough to become her lover.
