I don’t remember when the movie was made, who the actors were. All I remember is some of the scenes and plot points.

The movie starts off with a family packing some things to go to a camp, and the son/daughter can’t find the family dog. The father/mother suggests he ran away and will probably come back by the time they return. It is later revealed the father killed the dog, after it bit him, which is hinted at throughout the movie as the father gets more and more sick. We later see a wound that we learn is the dog’s bite which happened a few days before they left the house. Since it isn’t treated, a fever sets in.

The father has some hallucinations of the wendigo, and the family try to convince him he’s halucinating because of the sickness (when they say this, they still don’t know he was bitten by the dog). But towards the end of the movie we learn he saw the wendigo at that camp, when he was a kid.

The movie ends very graphically, with one of the family members getting a leg broken, and the father going crazy and trying to kill the others (but failing horribly because of the fever). The mother (who I think is the one with the broken leg) is grabbing onto the father, trying to prevent him from getting to, and killing their kids.

The wendigo shows up and kills everyone (including some native American guy who knows about it, and some rangers), except for the daughter and son.

The very end of the movie has an officer asking the daughter what happened, and (not surprisingly) doesn’t believe her when she talks about the wendigo. She is taken by her aunt and uncle, who (before the credits) take her to the forest years later with guns, to kill the wendigo.

I also remember at some point in the movie some teen guys (in their 20s) interacted with the family, and one of them is found dead later in the movie.
