Hello, I have not seen this supposedly American film myself. I just want to help one girl who complains that she has been looking for it for ten years without success. It was filmed presumably in the 90s.
According to the plot, a young single mother gets married. Her husband takes her to his house, located in the middle of nowhere. Some strange things begin to happen. She constantly has nightmares. Some shaggy one wanders around, and someone’s ominous whisper is heard. In the whisper you can make out the name Caroline (but this is not certain). Maybe this is her name.
In addition, the heroine found some kind of workshop/shed in the forest or in the garden. And there were strange, creepy pictures in it, perhaps drawn by this husband of hers. It is possible that one of the paintings depicts the burial of a child (most likely an infant)
There was also an episode with a death in the stable. Some woman, either his mother or his nanny, fell into a trough and was electrocuted
In addition, they had a child together. It died. Then (as far as this girl who is looking for the film remembers) it turns out that this psychotic husband killed this common baby of theirs.
- No matter how much I Googled, the result was zero .But nevertheless, hope dies last. Thanks in advance for any hints.
OMG! I am also looking for the very same movie. I saw it in the mid-90s but can’t remember what it’s called. In those nightmares you mentioned there is someone in the room, and we see the sleeping woman from the intruder’s perspective. The intruder watches the woman while whispering to her ‘Get out of Carolyn’s/Caroline’s bed’. At the end, the intruder turns out to be the woman’s husband wearing a wig. The lady who gets electrocuted in the stable by touching a live wire is the husband’s mother of I remember correctly. I was a child when I saw it and it gave me chills.
However, as I said, I will make a couple more attempts to find it. If by some miracle it works, I will notify you. You should also try to search for it. For example, on reddit, in the groups “r/tipofmytongue”, “r/whatsthemoviecalled”, “r/horror”. I myself got shadowbanned from reddit for some unknown reason.
Actually, you are the third person I know who is looking for this movie. I read posts in a group dedicated to finding forgotten movies. And there I recently came across a post by a guy who was looking for this same movie. Besides that girl.
And this movie seems to have disappeared into thin air. I’ll try to look for it a couple more times, just in case. And then I’ll give up this useless endeavor. Some movies seem to have disappeared or something. It happens.
Or the film, so to speak, did not find its way to the Internet, and was left “overboard”. We proceed from the idea that literally all the content of the pre-Internet era ended up on the Internet. This is obviously a wrong idea.
I have been looking for three other movies for like 25 years without luck.
Solved!
Damn, man, you are a GENIUS. I can imagine how happy they will be. Thank you so much! Post all the movies you are looking for here. I will try to return the favor. If you want, give me a link to your social network so I don’t lose touch.
Thank you too! It’s so satisfying to find a film you’d been trying to find for decades. It’s crazy that you came across others who are also looking for this film. It must have had a lasting impact on them. It certainly had on me as a child. I’d looked before but couldn’t find it. I wouldn’t have tried again if it wasn’t for this post, so thanks again.
I’ve just posted two of the movies I am looking for to the Reddit groups you mentioned (thanks for the tip):

I am no longer sure these movies even exist in the way I described them. I’ve spent countless hours trying to find them, since the 90s. In more recent years, I’ve gone through thousands of titles on Imdb, using the advanced search function, tried all the different AI tools, but still nothing

Ok, I’ll do my best. Let’s hope for the best.
Friend, in order for your post to be published on the r/tipofmytongue, you must leave one comment under it. That’s the rule they have there.
The “What was that Movie” Facebook group with 30,000 subscribers might also be useful.
Bro, check out this movie Swan Lake: The Zone https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0099995/
Do you remember in that surveillance movie there was some little boy who helped the main character find the location of this woman who was in danger?

I found it!!!
It’s called ‘A cry in the night’. It was released in 1992 and is based on a Mary Higgins Clark book.
Holy shit!!!!
You’ve found both movies! It’s unbelievable! That’s a 25 year-old mystery solved. No more sleepless nights. Thank you so much!
I remembered the ukrainian one having the word ‘Swan’ in its title, but I still could not found it. And the other one, ‘High frequency’… I looked everywhere.
How did you do it?
I asked about them in a group dedicated to finding movies on a Russian social network. Both films were suggested by a girl who apparently has a hobby of helping find movies.
Say thanks to her please.
you said you were looking for three movies
I had not looked for the third one in a while, and guess what… I found it!!! It’s a mini series about a bunch of fugitive kids running from human traffickers. It’s called ‘Felipe Tem Olhos Azuis’. A very sad one, unsurprisingly. Not sure what was up with me watching movies like these at the age of 10 or so.
You’re clearly on a lucky streak now.
I’m glad everything was found.
Maybe we’ll be lucky with the third one too.
Also, you seem to have found the first movie under just an hour. How???
Marking “Solved.” Laszlo, if you want us top track your Solves then register for the site.
Also, you should also start a new post for each movie you’re looking for. Other people won’t be checking the deep nested comments on this post.
Thanks. I registered a while ago and posted the movies here.
