I remember watching a movie I believe was made 2008-2015. Has a kind of “Disney Channel/Nickelodeon Bright-color vibe” (if that makes sense). A teen boy finds out his parents work as scientists for a secret agency. He wants to join, parents are hesitant. Boy meets a girl his age who also works for the agency, has crush on her.

A bad guy who used to be friends with parents is trying to steal microbots that can enter humans and control their bodies/physically harm them (raise their body temperature until they die, for example). Boy tags along with girl to warehouse where microbots are being kept. They get separated; bad guy runs into boy and knocks him out. Boy wakes up alone, not captured, and heads back to agency HQ. When he arrives, a scanner finds one of the microbots inside him. Bad guy calls in on video chat, says he will hurt boy if parents don’t cooperate.

Don’t quite remember how it ends. I think confrontation happens on boat dock. Bad guy defeated, humanity saved. Thank you in advance for your help!
