I was a kid in Canada. I saw what I remember to be an animated movie I think on french television. My memory is fragmented but I believe it was early to mid 80s in December.
I remember a scene near or at the end of the movie where a giant robot is damaged and shutting down, amongst city rubble with a young boy by his side. For some reason I remember this scene being predominantly red.
Sorry, it’s been bugging me for years but its all I can remember.
It’s french and it has a giant robot, so I’m gonna just go ahead and suggest The King and the Mockingbird
