I think the movie was in 1990s and it was about a girl who’s a bit overweight, wears glasses and is quite timid. The boy was probably a neighbor or a classmate or an older student at the same school. I remember he had nlinde hair, looks like a delinquent wearing leather jacket or denim.He would bully her and extort money from her. I remember a scene inside a treehouse where they were alone together and the boy was forcing her to kiss. Although he was mean to her, the girl started developing feelings for him. They were in middle school or high school age. Towards the end of the movie, the boy ran away from home due to family issues and the girl searched for him. I think they found each other at the end but i remember it being tragic and i was very young when i watched it so it was shocking for me. I want to see it again though.
