I am looking for a cartoon or anime movie that I saw when I was a kid, so approximately in the late 80’s or early 90’s. It was in German. I can’t remember much from the plot. There was some kind of scientist and he traveled to another world. The inhabitants there feed from laughing about catastrophies. There was a scene in wich they watched the Titanic hit an iceberg as a “meal”.  In the last scene, the guy asked a girl if she wants to see a place where people feed from laughing and then they traveled there.

I know its not much to work with, but I hope someone has a clue.
