I really need the name of the movie for a presentation I’m making.
The only scene i remember was as follows: Group of young black (men&women) come together to practice their rights as normal civilians. They went to a restaurant. There were a sign to segregate black from the white, and they sat on the bar disregarding the sign. The waiter or waitress in front of them told them that they can’t sit here, but they ignored him/her and ordered. Then there were some Whit people sitting next to them (men&women), they started to harass them orally, but the others ignored them, then started to throw some food on their faces and pushing them off their seats. After a while of continuing harassment, the police came and arrested the black people.
I saw this movie 2 years ago on TV, not a series i’m sure. main actors: Man &Woman. It was in color but somehow pail, i guess it was meant to be that way by the director not an old movie not 60s or 70s. I think the actor was anthony mackie.. but not sure. Hope you can find it, I really appreciate your help.
Could be:
February One: The Story of the Greensboro Four (2003)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0449591/
really appreciated. This scene in the trailer where blacks and whites are sitting on the bar is pretty similar to the movie i’m talking about, but it was not a documentary. the people were trying to make a revolution, they were planning, they knew that the regime back then were against such acts. thanks anyways
There’s a scene similar to what you describe in “Freedom Song.” Danny Glover plays the main character.

Thanks for your effort. The movie i’m talking about, the main actors were young.
I comprehend now that those youngsters were students who started a civil rights movement, any thoughts of this movie ?
There is a scene like that in “The Butler”
