There was this movie I remember watching in school. It was about a boy, maybe junior high age, who is walking home from school, Or out playing. He comes across an older mansion house with an older man living there.
Not sure how it happens but he ends up in the basement of the mansion house. It had the feel of him trying to hide from the older man who owns the house. He could have been in the house because he was suppose to be helping the older man? The main point though was the man was bad and trying to find the boy. There also at some point might have been another character, a teen girl, who was also at the house.
In the end he escapes but I cannot remember anything else.

No, I Looked up the trailer and it started out looking good with the boy at the door, but it wasn’t the one. I watched it in school so I wouldnt be anything R rated.
The theme of the movie wasnt quite as scary either, more suspenseful.
