This had to be late 70s or early 80s, so probably an 8mm print. I remember seeing this at least twice during the elementary school carnival. It was most likely a short film on the beginning of some other movie like “North Avenue Irregulars”, but I don’t recall it specifically being Disney.

The plot has to do with a field trip to the zoo. The teacher stresses how important it is to stay with the group. The main character, a boy, then gets lost or separated. He is chased by a man with a giant butterfly net and wearing reflective sunglasses. I think the repeated dialogue is something like, “Don’t stray from the pack”.

Please tell me this is/was a real short film and not some weird dream that has stayed with me since childhood. No one seems to remember it but me.
