I watched a movie on DVD from the library about 2008.  It was about 8 or 10 scientist colonists [an even number of males and females] that were going to travel to another planet and start a colony.  When they arrived, they woke up in their sleep capsules too weak to move, as expected, however there was an ape-like creature that was feeding on them one by one each day.  Finally, in their weakened states, they had to tough it out and fight off the creature.  The creepiest scene in the movie was when the creature came to feed on someone, all the woman in the capsule overhead could do was cover her ears to block out the sound while the victim below her screamed and fought as best she could.

It was a very low budget movie in color and in English, dated somewhere between 1980-2008.  It was so low budget that most of the actors playing the astronauts doubled as monsters in other scenes.
