I didn’t see the whole movie though, only the last part, but I liked it immediately.

I guess what happened is: He and she are meant for each other, but they haven’t met each other yet. The movie is telling their separate stories in parallel.

Only at the end of the movie they met for the first time when she jumps with a parachute directly into his arms.

I watched it in the middle of the 90s on TV, I think it could be made in 70s-90s.
