I saw a movie last year in english that follows the life of a couple. The guy becomes an architect and works in his fathers lawfirm. They get married. The wife has a french friend from college. When she is pregnant she has a miscarriage because she has cancer. She recovers and then she has it again and dies from it.
I remember the husband to coope fixes a boat she had got him with a next door neighboor.
At the end the wifes friend dies and her daughter ends up with the guy because she has no close relatives and they are supposed to take her.

I think it is “Book of Love” a 2016 movie with Maisie Williams in it (plays Arya Stark on Game of Thrones).
Sorry its not that one
New Life is the title of this movie it was released in 2016. It is available to rent online or probably at a library near you. Was beginning to think thus movie was just a dream I had. But when I saw your post I knew it was a movie. The name of this movie eluded me for days having rented it from my local library when it was new. When I found the title thought I’d come back here and share it with you too. It is a good one memorable obviously it’s in back of my mind over a year later.
