ok so I saw this move more than ten years ago I think of Turner Classic Movie channel. It was in black and white. The most I can remember is that this overweight older white detective suspects that a husband murdered his wife via I think causing her car to roll down a ravine, and he catches the husband by asking him to recall what he saw his wife wearing last. To which the husband mentions a white rose/flower pinned to her lapel. At this point the detective proves that the husband did kill her becuase the detective had given her that rose after she saw her husband showing that he was lying. It was in English. I think 50s style clothing or earlier.
