I just remeber that it is an animated movie similar to Corto Maltese where two men try to create an artificial blue saffire in a big furnance.

After many tries they were almost giving up until they found a big gem covered by a coat of dirt.

Later they organize a party to show the precious stone and it gets mysteriously stolen.

Please help is saw this in portuguese TV and  have this memory for years, i searched everywhere.
