Around 1999 or 2000 I caught the end of an intriguing indie film.  Probably ifc or sundnce channel. A man was dying on a couch in a dark room. Possibly poisoned. Possibly AIDS. Meanwhile he carried on a conversation with a muppet like puppet. I remember the puppet being such a contrast to the human. Like it had just kept from his subconscious memory of a kids show to help him understand his mortality. If no one remembers this I ll crowd source a script because the images and characters were so vividly expressive of the labored acceptance of death
