Okay I saw this movie recently and I think it may be a comedy?
There is a scene where a man is at a diner alone and is staring at a black family. The little boy in the family turns to his dad and asks if they could invite the man to eat with them. The family invites the man to join them and it is clear from following scenes that he overstays his welcome.
not a film but this happens in the netlfix show Love, when the main character Gus is working away from home and is in a diner alone, and a black family invite him over. he then gets weirdly over-emotional. binged the whole series so can’t remember what series/episode but end of S2 i think
Love that show! So sad when it ended.
