It was definitely a movie in color that I saw around the mid to late 2000s. I may have seen it on tv so it probably didn’t do so well in theaters. I’m almost positive it was a Japanese movie remake. There was the ritualistic suicide of a young school girl who doused herself in gasoline or something similar, put a trash bag over her head and lit herself on fire. She wasn’t a main character or anything. It was just something that happened. I think there was also a group of students from either the same school or a nearby school who jumped off the roof of it all at once. All the students were Asian. The film may have been based in Asia, I’m not sure. But I’m pretty sure the main characters were not Asian.
Please help. This is killing me.
