After spending an awful amount of time trying to remember a movie I saw a long time ago, I finally posted a message here for help … about an hour ago.
Sure enough, no sooner do I post than I remember it; and, not only that, it’s a classic: Frenzy.

No need to feel stupid. I don’t remember that subplot from Frenzy (though I saw it decades ago). You could have just left the question up and gone away and never come back, but we appreciate your letting us know it’s actually solved.
