I think it a early 2000 movie.

It was a about an orphan girl who lived in a trailer with her aunt who abused her. She has a phobia of being touched and she falls in love with a rich guy she meets while working, but the guy’s parents disapprove because she’s poor and a little weird. At the end of the movie she kills her aunt because in self defence and ends up in a psychiatric hospital. The guy sends her letters but his mother intercept them and he thinks she doesn’t love him anymore. A couple years pass I think and the mother finally tells the truth but during that time the girl’s mother who in reality wasn’t dead found her and they left together. The boy’s too late and a nurse tells him to “let her go” or something like that.
