I’ve watched a re-run of this movie somewhere in the mid 90’s

I’d say movie could’ve been made between the 60’s and 80’s judging by the image I remember, it’s set in the 60’s

on an island in the far east, an american family goes on vacation and gets in trouble with maybe 2 Japanese soldiers who, after maybe 2 decades or so after the war was over, weren’t even aware of that and kept being the soldiers they are until first contact with the outside came from that family

this film might have been a contemporary of the film Hell in the Pacific, that last one however is between an American and a Japanese soldier alone on an island
