I remember a movie (might have been a tv-episode) about some climbers stuck on a mountain.

Climbing the mountain in bad weather one man, kind of elderly(?), gets stuck in a “pocket” on a cliffside. With him is a woman(?) who might have been his daughter. She wants to rescue him but he insists that he is stuck and cannot be rescued. To get to safety the woman needs to swing across the cliffside and the only way to do that is for the man to tie the rope around his waist. She swings to the other side with him being in much pain from the rope.

She gets to safety and wants helicopters to rescue the man but the weather is too bad. The helicopters go up the next morning and finds the man dead on the cliffside.

I think I was kind of young when I saw this on TV and I’m born in 1978 so it might be from the 80s or early 90s or earlier. I believe it was in English and in color.

I ave searched IMDB-lists for climbing movies but have not found anything that rings any bells.

I really want to rewatch this film to see if it is as great as I remember it to be, so thank you in advance for any help.
