i remember this movie or tv-show from a couple years back. we have to evacuate earth and some Governments are building spaceship to leave and some other privately own companys build their own and sell seats to millionaires and billionaires that blows up at liftoff
one of the ship in the movie had an orion drive propulsion in it

It sounds an awful lot like 2012, except that I don’t remember anything blowing up the launchpad. They had some trouble getting the ship off the ground, but no big explosion.

i taught about 2012 too but then i remembered that they do not use spaceships but Ark style Giant Boats.
