I saw a movie as a kid, and I remember a few scenes, but I can’t remember what the movie was called. I don’t know if it was a horror movie, but it had a mysterious vibe to it.

The movie involves a girl, who started out as a child in a the beginning. I remember that the house they lived in was very posh looking and there was a huge staircase that curved. Also, her father wore a suit. She was being put to bed by either her mother, father, or the house maid, and her nickname was some type of bug (I’m pretty sure it was Ladybug). Then there was fighting from her father and the maid or wife and the daughter went downstairs to see, but when she got down, her father (I think) was dead on the ground due to being hit with a wine bottle. There was also a fireplace in the background.

The next scene I remember was she was an adult (she was blonde I believe), and she was at an indoor, in-ground pool (which I think was in her childhood house). I remember there being something about a key, but I don’t remember much about it. In her pool room, half the walls were golden. and there were potted plants/trees everywhere. Against one of the walls, there was a secret door and it lead to a little room. In the room, there was a T.V. with a VCR and a bunch of tapes (from the father, addressed to the daughter I think).

I saw this movie when I was like 5-7, so it had to have been made from 2008 or before that.

Please help me find this! I’ve been looking for years. My older sister remembers the same scenes, but she can’t remember what it is either. It was definitely a movie, in English and in colour. I could be possibly mixing two movies up, however, I need to know what the pool scene is from, it’s been bugging me for years!
