I Don't Know the Name... (unsolved movies)

I saw this movie on TV, in Brazil. I was a young girl when I watched it, I remember very little of it, but this scene was really dramatic!

There were these young black slave women, they were escaping the country on a train or ship dressed as white women… well, they were wearing beautiful dresses (something antique, from XVII maybe XVIII century), they wore wigs and their skin were painted with white powder, so they could pretend they were white girls. I remember one of the young women was suffering lots of pain, because she had been whipped, her back were very injured and since the dress was very tight, it caused friction on her wounds and she felt too much pain. A tear starts to roll from her eye, removing the white make-up on her face, revealing the black skin under it, and her friend tries to help to cover it, because their true identities couldn’t be discovered by the authorities.

Solved!

It’s a classic movie, maybe from the 70s or the 80s. The story takes place during the 18th or 19th century (or maybe earlier, sorry, not good with dates). I remember there’s this beautiful young lady that is going to be married some days later, and she receives her cousin at her wealthy home. Her cousin is a beautiful blonde woman, green eyes and very elegant, a true lady. Everyone in this family is very rich (friends too). The gorgeous blonde starts an affair with her coursin’s fiancée. Also, she starts to leave her bedroom during the night to steal jewelry and other expensive stuff, just for fun. I remember this blonde beauty is ok with murdering people using her pistol (if needed) but she refuses to shot a horse, and while being chased after she stole something, she chose to shot the man that was chasing her instead of the horse he was riding!

At the end, she dies because she was shot in her chest. The camera focus on her hands, where she was holding a precious brooch (I think it was a broch or choker, don’t remember well) made of pearl and other expensive gems, while her blood is running down her arm. (Btw, she stole this jewel from one of the wealthy friends of the family).

For many years I believed the blonde beautiful woman that is a lady during the day and criminal during the night was played by actress Beverly D’Angelo, but I checked her filmography and couldn’t find any movie she made in this style (but the actress was really Beverly’s look alike!)
