It was a dark film (Pans Labyrinth style ) about a young girl and boy, i think they were kind of lost. Im pretty sure the bad guy was a giant, and he had these glittery red winged boots that enabled him to fly. I remember the girl sneaking into his house and the giants wife treated her kindly because the giant wanted to eat her (?)

It was in french or spanish maybe? English subtitles, and I saw it on sbs/abc over 8 yrs ago I think.
