American teen at school is constantly verbally harassed and threatened by a bully, but takes it all without retaliating. The bully confronts him once again in the school hall and has a friend there to back him up. The teen has had enough, turns round and puts the friend out of action, then beats the bully up and puts him in hospital.
Sounds like every teen bully movie ever made.
My Bodyguard (1980)?
In this movie, the teen doesn’t need any help, he knows he’s capable of defending himself, but chooses not to retaliate and even subtly corrects the bully’s insults. When the confrontation occurs, the bully’s friend had got behind him to block his retreat. Later I think it was the teen’s father who said “Did you have to put him in the hospital?” That’s all I remember.
