This a movie in which I only saw the opening scene, it started in this skyscraper. A blonde woman ( model like) is in bed naked covered by a black silk like expensive blanket, she goes downstairs to what I assume is her Asian partner, he is using an electric muscle simulation setup with another buffed dude working out for him. I think he was probably a crime/gang leader. That’s all I saw. To add some context, I saw this on FX in the morning ( had to stop to go to school) it aired some time between 2012 to 2014. Other movies that aired that time interval include Tokyo drift and street fighter so you can kind of see the action, crime, martial arts theme.
I know the movie you’re talking about, but I can’t remember the title. The boyfriend — the guy doing the ems-aided exercising — is involved in organized crime, or something, right? Or maybe that’s the guy who tries to kill him later, with a scene that’s a callback to the exercise device.
Crud! Now I’m scrambling my brains on this one…
