A young jerk accidentally gets to a sailing ship and travels somewhere with the rude and cruel ship team. It looks like a parody on the sea wolf. During that trip he is put on a desk connected to the ship by a cable for several days. Due to the lack of water he has some weird hallucinations including him riding a shark (and probably talking to it, I don’t remember). Then the ship gets lost in the sea and finds some mysterious island. Main character visits that island and meets there some Indian deity with many arms.

I saw this movie in the middle of the 90-ties.  It was incredibly funny. That’s all I remember. Thank you for any suggestions.
