A scene where the house is burnt, and a maid with a new-born baby got trapped inside the attic/top floor

I remember this scene that I watched before 2005-2008, and don’t know if it’s from a drama or a movie. This scene’s settings is the same era in Downton Abbey.

In the scene, there’s a burning house, and everybody in the house were very panic. They all run out of the house to save their lives. But a new-born child is left alone and no one cared about him. Only one housemaid remembered and came back into the house to save him. When she picked the baby up, she had to run to the top floor/attic. She with a baby in her hands is trapped. She punched the glass window of the room, and the scene focused on how painful she was when the fire bury them. She screams, and the baby cries.

Cut to the next scene is a group of people sitting together outside of the house, safe and sound.

Please help me to find which movie/drama this scene is from. Thank you!

    1. I’ve watched the episode that you mentioned, and the plot seems to be exactly the same as what I remembered.

Anyway, my memories about the details in that scene is somehow a little bit differnt. My impression about the maid is a bit younger than the one in the “Little House…” episode, and in the burning scene, I could remember that she’s wearing a maid’s white hat. Her scream is much more crucial and more painful. The glass window was narrower and the maid was trying to reach outside, with her head is already outside. The heart-broken details here is that she’s willing to jump outside with the baby, but since the window is very narrow, she couldn’t and both of them got stuck.

One more thing is that, right after that screaming and heart-broken scene, there was immediately the silence scene right after that where everybody sitting around together and silently “dead inside” with the tragic accident.

Could there be any remake version of the “Little House on the Prairie” series?

      1. According to its IMDb page, the series has two remakes, one of them is this:
        https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0406032/?ref_=ttcnn_sm

The other one is still in production, I think, because on its IMDb page there is no year indicated.

Also, on the original series’ IMDb page there is the “Connections” subsection, and in that subsection there is the “Followed by” subsection, maybe one of them there?

          1. I’ve watched again and I could be 100% sure that what I saw is not from the “Little House” series. It could bea “replication” of that scene from any English-speaking movie/series.
