There was an Indianapolis horror show host called Sammy Terry back in the 70’s and 80’s. I’m pretty sure that two movies I remember were from his show. They would have been in color and in English. Also, they would have been set in the same time period.
First, a group of men, possibly miners, got trapped underground and were in danger of starving. They drew lots to see who would get his arm chopped off and canabalised by the group. They were eventually rescued and over time, each of the men were either murdered or had something amputated (can’t remember which) by an unseen attacker. I think it turned out to be the son of the original guy.
Second, there was some kind of group home for teens and one of them tried to escape but I think he was murdered by the man running it. Mabey the teen was a family member? But I think at some point someone (I think a lady) came to get an update so it probably was some type of foster house.

A Severed Arm is definitely the first one. The second one is probably Blood and Lace but I remember so little of it that I can’t be positive. I’ve never been able to find a definitive list of Sammy Terry movies. Thanks to everyone for helping out.
Thanks otr28, I really think the 2nd one is Blood and Lace, it is about a teen sent to an orphanage run by an evil lady and her henchman. About 15 min. into it a teen boy is running away into the woods, he stops to hide behind a tree and the henchman throws a meat cleaver at him and cuts off his hand,which is found later by the teen girl. I’m a huge Sammy Terry fan and I remember seeing both of these growing up, I’m 46 now.

Yes, Blood and Lace is it. The hatchet throwing scene is the only one that I remembered clearly, but after watching it, I remembered some other scenes.
