1970 or 80’s scifi where a man is in a future world where he see children in…

…a circle holding hand and singing about death and the man trys to get them to stop.

1970 or 80’s  on the television sci-fi where a man with a beard is walking with a woman who is showing him this future world. He sees children going around in a circle holding hands and singing positively about death. The man tries to get them to stop and the woman gets involved and explains to him that it is okay and that it’s what they believe. You could see the frustration on his face not understanding why the people of this world would believe or teach the children that death was good.

Everyone spoke the english language.

I think the man might have been in a tan robe-like garment.

  1. I found the movie on Youtube and that scene is at the 58:38 mark. It is slightly different than I remembered but it’s very similar, it has the tan robe and the people celebrating death, but there are no children in their world. Here is the movie.

  2. Thanks for trying.
This isn’t the correct one. The man had a beard and children were in the movie. The rob was more Jedi like.

  3. I think I found it this time! It’s “Brave New World”(1980 TV movie). Go to the 22.00 point of the video below to see that scene. Is that the one?

  4. He’s not wearing a robe in that scene, but I think he comes from a group of people who wear robes earlier in the movie.
