~1960-1980 Possible Independent Foreign film Mystery/Thriller/Drama (plot below)

I saw this movie when I was a kid on a ski trip back in the early 1990’s at a hotel. I don’t remember if it was Italian, Spanish or French, or if it was in black and white, but it definitely had a Christian undertone as there were church scenes and the quality of the film was older. The plot was very intriguing. So a father loses his young daughter and she is buried in a cemetery. Years later, her coffin was dug up (I think because developers were coming in or someone had tampered with it- can’t remember) and his daughter hadn’t decayed at all. She looked as young as she did when she died. The father takes on this massive quest to bring back his daughter to life. So he puts her in a coffin and drives around on a bike with her to various priests and churches to have them look at her to preform a miracle or to answer his questions- I can’t remember. In one scene, he is so desperate in bringing her back to life that he goes to church and as the choir is singing, he focuses on a window and it shatters. The viewer is left wondering if it was his intent that shattered the window or if it was the music. The whole movie is about his desperation in bringing his daughter back to life. (spoiler here) At the end of the movie, she does indeed come back to life. I also remember a toy monkey with cymbals playing; I have no idea why that small detail remained in my memory. But thats basically the premise and for the life of me, I can’t find the name of this movie anywhere. It seemed to be an independent foreign film. Help!
