I only remember 1 scene from this, but it’s stuck in my head and I gotta know what it’s from. I think it was a TV show or a TV movie, sometime in the mid-to-late-90’s. Maybe early 2000’s, but not past 2004. It could have been made earlier, but I saw it when I was a kid at a friends’ house.
Anyway, there was a group of students who were assigned to work on a project together, and there was one guy who was in one of those motorized wheelchairs and obviously had some kind of mental disability affecting his body. The rest of the group got up to leave, and one girl stayed behind to ask the guy: “Now that we’re working together… what’s wrong with you?” And he replied something to the effect of: “I can’t… speak.. well.” Looking back on it, it was obvious that he had some kind of severe cerebral palsy, but I don’t think that was mentioned in the scene.
I seem to remember the environment looked like a library, or a dimly lit cafeteria, with red carpeting, wood tables. And I believe there was a scene either right before that or afterwards, where a glass slid by itself across the table, and one of the characters said: “Look, did you see that!?”
It feels like it was some kind of “paranormal” drama show/movie, where there were a couple students who were dealing with these strange occurrences, while still trying to maintain a normal life among their peers.
There were previous scenes with that guy in the wheelchair, but I don’t remember any of them.
I know that’s not a lot to go on. But it’s driving me nuts.
Thanks in advance.
