I don’t remember the time period.  The cast of the movie was predominantly black. The main character was a woman working as a stripper to pay for college.  She struggled in the beginning with drug abuse.

The antagonist was another stripper who had side gigs as a dominatrix at bachelor parties. She convinced the main character to come with her at first. At one point she taped the main character while she was passed out from drug use.
