Hi everyone, I thought I’d try here for a movie I remember finding very emotional as a child in the early to mid 80s, possibly a little into the later 80s.

I remember:

• A scene at the end when an old man dies and is shot out of a spaceship at the end of a funeral in a space coffin
• strange animal things (possibly riden with harnesses) and eating alien fruit off trees

I’ve searched the history of French anime and can’t find it there, though I may have missed it.

Anyone got any clues to what it was? thanks
