As a young child in the early 70s I happened to see a creepy film on tv that scared the beejebers out of me. It must have been made in earlier decades, perhaps in the 50s. I can remember ine particular scene where a ver old, gnarly hand with long fingernails turns on a bathtub faucet tap to fill in a tub in a house. One of the occupants in the house hears the water running upstairs and is puzzled. I got so frightened watching this scene I ran behind the TV set! To this day i still think about this movie and wonder if I will ever see it again so I can know the title.
