I remember watching an old B&W movie in the early 1970s.
A man had somehow traveled back in time to, I think, the Victorian age. Somehow lightning had played a part with the traveling. The man falls in love with a woman but then somehow is transported back to his present day. I think he comes to on the step of his house. There is a graveyard by his house which he checks out. He finds out the woman (from the Victorian age) had died of a broken heart shortly after he had left.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
“Somewhere in Time”(1980). This seems too obvious and was in color, but sounds very similar.

A remake of…:

It sounds like Berkeley Square. The ending in the grave is a match. But you couldn’t see that in the seventies because it was a lost film until recently. So it might be the color remake, I’ll Never Forget You. I’m not sure though if that one has the grave scene.
It is I’ll Never Forget You> The entire movie is on YouTube. it has the lightning and the grave scene. The movie is in color and black and white. The present day is black and white. When he goes back in time it switches to color.
Thank you so much! I was going nuts trying to remember it. lol I had actually just finished watching Somewhere In Time which made me think of this movie. After watching I’ll Never Forget You again after some 40+ years, I will check out Berkeley Square. Thanks again!
OK, sounds like will got it. Marking “solved.”
