There was a fantasy movie on television in the early 70’s which may or may not have been in theaters.  The plot is of a young man in search of a place where people lived “happily ever after,” which I believe was to mean that they became immortal.  He finds the place early in the movie, but is given a set of tasks he must accomplish before he will be allowed to come inside.  I believe the tasks were to find artifacts like a heart of gold and a feather of truth, or something like that.  I also recall the antagonist was living in the town and tried tricking the hero several times.  The special effects were B-rate 1960’s, but I remember really loving the movie as a kid.  Might have been a Eurppean movie that was dubbed.  Any thoughts would be helpful, thanks!
