So the movie was seen before or during 2008. The majority of the movie was in sepia i believe. I had the DVD once upon a time but it’s since been thrown away by a jerk of a brother. I believe it was in English but it could have been in French with english subtitles.

What i distinctly remember about the film is that it involved a girl (between 10 – 16) who was able to see these other creatures in the world. It wasn’t a horror movie and it had this whimsical feel to it. The creatures for the most part weren’t evil or mean. But there was an antagonist in it. Lot’s of play with black and masks and it almost felt dystopian.

I’m sorry I can’t provide a scene in specifics. I can’t remember much about the film besides those things above.
