Hi all, I hope you can help.
This movie has been haunting me for ages and no one knows what I am talking about. It starts with a woman waking up in a spaceship. She seems to be alone and walks out of the smallish space where she woke up. She walks into a corridor and at the end of it is a huge, HUGE sort of metal door. There are noises and she freaks, runs back and hides. Then there is a loud noise, roaring or something, and we don’t actually see what causes it but do see a massive shadow sliding by. The door has been opened and a monster got out, it is gigantic.
Please tell me this was indeed a movie and which one, and not just one of my vivid SF dreams 🙂
Based on the title of this post, I’m assuming it’s a comedy? When did you see this and what decade did it seem to be from?
Could you tell us more about the scene you mentioned in the title, man climbs out of toilet?

I think I saw it in the 80’s but on television, could be the 90’s though.
Yes I know more about the scene. The man is in a house and there is, I think, a party going on. A lot of people: big thing. He goes to the toilet and stands on it, I seem to remember there was something strange about the ceiling. I think it also had a view to the outside, a street maybe. He finds an opening in the ceiling and it’s a hatch, which he opens. It opens to the outside, he climbs out of the toilet by standing on the toilet I think. Then he ends up in a different world. There are people walking around, it’s pretty quiet and there is sand everywhere. He starts talking to someone after a while, he is amazed at the sight. So much sand, buildings in the sand. A completely different world.
