I’m looking for a movie, that I watched around 2007. It was on tv one night, but I was too young to remember any of the characters, etc.

the discriprion of the characters:

mother – was white, fairly old, had a brown short curly perm.

Daughter – was white, around 5 years old, had brown hair.

Son- was white, around 2 years old, had blonde hair.

Father- was white, around the same age as the mother and, had brown hair as well.

anyways, the movie is about an abusive psycho mother who has two children. One was a little boy who was around two years old and a little girl who was around five years old. I only seem to remember scenes/parts of the movie.

1. The first scene that I remember was that the little girl was at school and she was having nap time and the teacher was like “okay.. everyone it’s time to wake back up.. nap time is over.” And she tries to wake the little girl and moves her hair and she sees a big bruise or something on her neck and freaks out and calls the police I think.

2. The second scene that I remember was the mother was boiling water and she was trying to put the little boy’s hand in it until police knocked down the door and she threw him behind the couch.

3. The third scene that I remember is that the mother was buy herself in a store and I guess she stole lipstick (very vague, sorry)

4. The fourth scene I remember was that the mother was in a hotel by herself and the maid was ironing some of her clothes or bedding (idk), but the mother freaks out and puts the hot iron on the women’s face (the maid’s)

5.  The fifth scene (and the last that I remember) which I think was the end of the movie (I’m trying to base them off the order of what I watched) the mother and the dad were in court explaining the whole situation of what went down in that house, etc. but the only thing I remember was that the dad was asked if he sexually abused the daughter and he said no, they were very close. But what I remember was he wasn’t in the movie until that scene and the movie was pretty much based on the mom.

sorry for so much writing but I was trying to get down as much as I remembered, and I’ve been searching for this movie for about a year now, but I could never find it. Hopefully someone will help me figure it out.
