Well I remember a scene of an alien spaceship landing in a jungle where these two teens, are having a party, and one of the aliens gets left behind, and the hero obviously takes the alien with him.
Don’t remember much else, other than having seen this no HBO a long time back.
It’s definitely not E.T. is what I can tell.
