American television movie seen around 90s-00s in colour
About a guy who’s car breaks down and he goes to a cafe and the phone booth just starts ringing. He answers it and then, stuff happens (can’t remember fully) but he ends up being forced to stay in town by a higher controlling person (unknown). Last scene shows him telling a visitor how happy he is, and giving the guy a note but he writes a warning to the guy to not pick up the phone. The guy looks at him weirdly and walks off only to hear the phone booth ringing and picking it up.
