I saw a horror short film around 2008, I think.  It was foreign, maybe Dutch?  It was a horror film festival at the local movie theater.  It was color, not black and white.  The plot was something along the lines of a girl moving into this apartment, which eventually sort of “eats” her.  IIRC, it was stop-motion animation, and in yarn/crochet.
