Im not 100% sure but this is what I remember about the movie..

A law student (woman) investigate the murder of  a black  prostitute. In the end the student looks at a movie recorded with the prostitute and   Sees a ring or a neckless that her boyfriend has. she realise her boyfriend murdered the prostitute and shoots him. The end.
