i was watching this movie mid 90’s about a woman who was being chased by wild dogs in the forest while she was holding a baby…. she then puts the baby into the river after she realised she could not make it.

later in between the movie tha kid is taken to a place then someone tries to steal the baby and is asked ” who are you ” and she replies ” i am a great socerer “…

thats all i remember..
