I remember as a little kid I saw the beginning of what I assume is an action thriller which I remember terrifying me

it started with a cargo ship at night and two thieves somehow break into the ship and try to look for something in some barrels. Then they open one of them and it contains some toxic substance which burns their faces, and it shows it in great detail. They die and whoever is working on the ship spots their corpses and cuts to their bodies being thrown off the boat into the water
